The Dacia Jogger has been named the nation’s ‘Best Large Family Car’ at the UK Car of the Year Awards 2023. A panel of 27 well-respected UK motoring journalists and presenters from a range of media outlets voted the Jogger as the best car for families, after being won over by its unbeatable combination of practicality, versatility and value.

The UK Car of the Year Awards recognise the best new cars of the last 12 months. It might be the newest addition to the range, but the Jogger has already found favour with UK car buyers. In 2022, the model recorded 2,832 sales in just nine months since its official launch, resulting in a retail market share of 14.47%. The result firmly put it in the top three ranking models within its segment.

Uniquely blending the versatility of a sports tourer with the comfort and rugged style of an SUV, the seven-seater presents an attractive proposition for families. Features such as modular roof bars, easily removable third row of seats and split-folding seats with almost 60 possible configurations make it perfect for the next family adventure.

The UK Car of the Year Awards judging panel agreed, with the Dacia Jogger winning unanimous praise.

On his decision to vote for Dacia’s latest model, award winning journalist Alex Grant said: “The Jogger offers incredible versatility in a compact footprint, with space for seven adults on board and options to fold and remove seats for load-hauling duty. It’s a brilliant family car.”

Tom Ford, well-known journalist and television presenter, added: “Well priced, practical, weirdly good-looking, the Jogger is everything that we love about a Dacia wrapped up in one multi-person package.”

Presenter and journalist James Batchelor further referenced the Dacia Jogger’s unique offering, stating it…“Represents a type of car too many carmakers are ignoring and a fantastic option for large families.”

The award follows a steady stream of accolades for the Jogger and comes at an exciting time for the model and the brand. The range has just been enhanced with the launch of the electrified Jogger HYBRID 140 – Dacia’s first ever hybrid – and the brand more than doubled its UK year-on-year sales in 2022. This year also marks ten years since Dacia’s official launch in the UK.

Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, said: “Awards mean a lot to our teams across the world. This one specifically represents what the Dacia Jogger is all about, while the judges’ feedback summarises everything that makes it the perfect choice for large families. Of course, seven-seat practicality is at the heart of the Jogger, but it’s all wrapped up in a fun, durable and clever package that is designed to make every family journey an adventure. Dacia’s outstanding value is the icing on the cake, so it’s no wonder that thousands of UK customers have already welcomed the Dacia Jogger into their families.”
