The Dacia Duster has won ‘Best Used Small Family Car’ at the Carbuyer Best Used Car Awards 2024, the award recognising the SUV as the number one choice for families seeking unrivalled value and durability in a compact package.
After Carbuyer’s judges evaluated all the award contenders on their performance in key areas, the well-proven Duster won through with its unmatched blend of affordability, practicality, and robustness.
On naming the Duster the best small family car on the second-hand market, the popular website’s expert judging panel said: “Dacia as a brand was formed to offer its customers unbeatable value, and the fantastic Duster sticks resolutely to that core deliverable. Spacious, cheap to run and built to last, if you’re after a dependable small family car then the Duster is Carbuyer's top choice.”
Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, said: “The Duster already has a big trophy cabinet, but this award is especially significant as it reaffirms that the Duster lives up to its promise of providing an affordable and quality ownership experience, whether new or as a used purchase. Duster is a great proposition for families and while it represents unbeatable value, thousands of households have already found that its practicality, robust build quality and reliability are invaluable.”
The Duster’s success comes hot on the heels of the Dacia Jogger winning ‘Best Family Car’ at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2024, proving that Dacia is the perfect fit for families whether they are buying a new or used car. Duster has also been praised in the Auto Express Driver Power 2023 new-car survey. Feedback from existing Duster drivers contributed to it winning the ‘Best Small SUV’ title and flying up the rankings to take 4th place overall out of the top 75 cars.
What’s more, the versatile SUV has certainly hit the mark with a huge number of UK drivers and families. Of more than 250,000 Dacia vehicles sold in the UK since the brand’s official launch in 2013, over 90,000 customers have put their trust in the Duster – making it the most popular Dacia model with the country’s car buyers.
Worldwide, it is the second best-selling Dacia, accounting for 2.26 million of the brand’s recent milestone of reaching eight million sales.
